The house, which is unlisted, dates from the 16th century and has been extended to either side of the original cottage. The current owners have comprehensively renovated the house and garden during their 14-year tenure. The front door opens onto a porch and then into a wonderful reception hall with the staircase rising ahead and, opposite, an Inglenook with a Chesney fireplace. The hall has a galleried landing above and a further porch to the south, which leads to the garden. To the left is a beautifully proportioned drawing room with a working fireplace, a deep window seat to the far bay and French doors opening onto the garden.
