Originally known as Brooke/Obrook/Upbroke, Osbrooks is a stunning Grade II Listed Manor House with a long and rich history. Appearing in records for the first time in the name of Robert de Upbroke, in around 1282, the site would have been occupied by a Hall House, later to become a smoke-bay house in the sixteenth century. Substantial additions were made in the seventeenth century with a large complementary extension being added in the early 20th century by Detmar Blow.
Recently the present owners have carried out a programme of refurbishment which has resulted in the perfect marriage of period and contemporary. French oak flooring has been used in the Dining Room with Delacroix Limestone across the whole Entrance and Reception Hall area. The property is set in a rural position just to the south of Capel village.
