The views over the English Channel are spectacular and on a clear day the continent can be seen on the horizon. Located directly on the sea front, access to the beach is unhindered.



The house is entered through an attractive and dramatic courtyard. The reception hall is glazed to the rear and upon entry to the house, there are immediate views over the impressive bay. The property has been fully renovated and the accommodation throughout is clean and stylish, yet retains the period features that set this property apart. Highlights include the modern kitchen and the panelled reception room complete with a stone fireplace on to which the crest for the Cinqe Ports has been engraved.



The main house has eight bedrooms which include an impressive Master Suite and guest bedroom to the front of the property which both benefit from double height vaulted ceilings and stunning views over Sandwich Bay.



Kentlands was commissioned in 1920 by prominent Tory MP Frederick Leverton Harris. He instructed influential Arts & Crafts architect Charles H Biddulph-Pinchard, who constructed Kentlands with materials reclaimed from two 17th Century Dutch weavers cottages and local Tudor barns. It is documented that in 1926 the Prince of Wales (later to become King Edward VIII) stayed at Kentlands as a guest of the Leverton Harris’. In more recent years the house was owned by the Heinz family and subsequently the current owners who have undertaken considerable works and completely renovated the property.



The Lodge House provides very well appointed, separate two bedroom accommodation, which could be used for staff or visiting friends and family. Adjacent to the Lodge House is a playroom which could be used as studio, gym or games room.



Within the grounds there is a secluded and private walled garden included a heated outdoor swimming pool.
