Beautifully appointed, four bedroomed house with further two bedrooms for occasional use, this typical Portuguese house is finished in quality materials by quality workmanship and is a credit to its current owners. But there is much more to this property than the house alone.
Situated in a rural hamlet, yet close enough to the main highway and local towns, this property enjoys stunning views across the countryside, a very peaceful environment in tune with nature. The house is beautifully presented externally, with a modern appearance and efficient maintenance free aluminium windows, part double glazed.
Through the main door you enter a large typically Portuguese family room, but this is finished in quality ceramic flooring and woodwork; the room consists of a fully fitted modern wood finish kitchen, with gas hob, a seating area with a modern enclosed log burner, a dining area and access to the outside BBQ area.
To the left of the main room are two matching double bedrooms and a fully equipped modern, bathroom with shower unit over the bath. A feature wooden stair case takes you to the first floor.
On the first floor are effectively four further bedrooms two doubles (one of which currently serves as an office/writing room) and two occasional rooms which extend into the roofline of the house, at opposite ends of the house but occupying the full width of the house in each case, with plenty of enclosed storage space. There is a fully equipped modern shower room on this floor.
Returning to the ground floor, we pass through the kitchen area and into the outside seating area, complete with permanent BBQ; this area is covered and so can be used throughout the year. To the side of this area is where the wood pellet burner, accumulator boiler and heating controls are housed.
From the outside area can be accessed to the front of the house and beyond, and also access to a "secret garden" with its prolific fruit trees, lemon and cherry; this would be an ideal spot to locate an above ground, private swimming pool.
Outside the main house is a garage/workshop and across a courtyard there is an old, small, rustic building which was previously occupied but would now convert into a holiday home or alternatively a workshop/studio for leisure pursuits. Opposite this building is a two terraced small garden, again containing established fruit trees.
A short walk away from the house itself are three areas of land; the first has been recently replanted with olive trees, the view from this plot is simply stunning, across the hills and mountains and it would be a superb location for a non-permanent "tiny house" or yurt; there is, on this slope, a further triangular plot of land with established fruit trees; to the rear of the ridge is a further plot of terraced, grassed land, leading down a small river and containing established trees including cherry and sweet chestnut, again this plot would also be suitable on which to position a non-permanent "tiny house" or yurt. The total land area is 5300m2 all within easy reach of the house.
The house represents excellent value for money and requires no further major work, only the new owners putting their personal touches to make this a beautiful family, forever home.
Located in Central Portugal, 1.1km from the very modern A13 motorway joining the north and south of Central Portugal, 3kms to the nearest town, Cabaços, 14km to Ferreira de Zezere with its shops, supermarket, weekly market and cinema/theatre; 28kms to the historic city of Tomar, with the UNESCO World Heritage Convento Do Cristo, former home of the Knights Templars in Portugal; Lisbon Airport is 1hr 25mins, and Porto Airport 1hr 40mins, both by modern traffic free motorways.
