A recreation and entertainment centre Alaušo Sėnis (Alaušas’ Valley) is found on a picturesque western shore of Alaušas lake. A top ranked member of the Rural Tourism Association (5 storks’ evaluation), provides catering, accommodation and recreation services.
The land plot with the area of over 4 hectares has 8 small recreation houses with fireplaces which can be used for accommodating 68 guests. According to the legend, there used to be a castle of duke Alaušas on the eastern shore of the lake on the mound of Maneičiai. They say that the duke loved the big clear lake. For this reason, just before his death, he asked to scatter his ashes in the lake. People did as he wished and called the lake after him – Alaušas.
