There are few people who are fortunate enough to own a luxurious private home on a wonderful and unique property that continues into the Pålsjö Skog (Pålsjö Forest) nature reserve. There is hardly anything the marks where the property ends and the forest begins. The property is planned and well maintained with features such as topiary box bushes, rhododendrons and large apple trees. The house has two and a half levels, plus a partially sunken cellar, and offers plenty of room for a large family (or two). The three upper floors currently have a total of five public rooms, of which two have fireplaces, and four bedrooms. Some of these more public rooms may instead be used as additional bedrooms, at the owner’s option. The fourth level is the cellar level, partially below ground level. The cellar has two guest rooms (or bedrooms), as well as an au pair’s flat with its own private entrance. This apartment has a kitchen and bathroom, and can naturally also be used as a rental dwelling unit, business premises or for guests. The au-pair apartment is a two-room unit, but only one of the rooms can be used as an apartment, for the present. The other room previously served as a garage, and if there is more interest for an indoor garage space than in additional living area, the garage can be restored. There are parking spaces for two cars, one within the walls, with a charging station for Tesla cars, and one outside the walls. There is also free parking on the streets in the vicinity.
The house was built in 1929 and has many features that are typical of the period of construction, such as muntin windows, fine oiled oak rod parquet floors, and two functioning fireplaces, one of which is made of limestone. In 2010, the house has been refurbished and expanded with, inter alia, a new entrance and new roof tiles. Interiorly, there has been a remodelling of the rooms, the kitchen and five bathrooms, as well as a total renovation of all the levels. The entire project was done meticulously, in order to preserve the original features, and attractively combine them with modern design.
If you would rather swim in the sea, than in the pool, it is a simple matter to walk about 500 metres down Johan Banérs gata to a beach with bathing in Öresund Sound. You can also follow the popular shore promenade and enjoy a fine walk along the water, to the old centre of the city, and all the rows of stores. Having wonderful Pålsjö Skog Forest as your closest neighbour provides you with direct access to a marvellous recreational area, including three jogging trails .
