The surface area occupied by any eventual staircases may only be calculated once. State and finishing All the buildings need to be completely restored. The property, which is situated on the old medieval road, is of ancient origins. Its appearance is reminiscent of the medieval “curtes,” or social centre, with its traditional circular structure comprising the church and other buildings (including a dovecote tower) used as the main house and as storage for agricultural equipment. The church was probably one of the very first Christian buildings in the area, and would have been incredibly important, up until it became the Priory church in the 13th century. The village was originally built with a clearly defensive purpose, and outdoor activity would have been limited. Over the years, the medieval tower lost its defensive features and was extended and surrounded by annexes, which likely date from different periods. External areas Borgo del Priore is surrounded by 5.6 hectares of private land, around half of which is a fertile olive grove.
