buildings on the north side of the street abutted a section of the Fernandinas do Porto Walls, and
on top of it there was one of the towers of Porta do
Olive grove.
But the origin of the toponym may have its origin in its primitive form, which was Rua de Trás da
Lágea (1583), old name of the upper section of Rua dos Caldeireiros.
