The
medieval castle of Plan d’Introd stands in Vall d'Aosta and is surrounded by a
park of 15,000 square meters. the Castle is close to the Mont Blanc with its
4,800 meters and to the Gran Paradiso National Park. The Palace has a unique
polygonal shape. The primitive nucleus dates back to the 12th century while the
current form was assumed following the modifications of the 1400s. An important
recovery project was implemented in the last century by the well-known
architect Chevalley. The fortress is spread over an area of ??2,500 square
meters with rooms furnished with antique furniture of excellent workmanship and
the frescoes covering almost the entire manor: walls, ceilings, door frames.
The
interior constitutes an artistic heritage of inestimable value. On the
esplanade in front of the Castle the beautiful granary is preserved, one of the
rare examples of buildings entirely in wood typical of the late Middle Ages in
