A land plot of 24 hectares is offered for sale not far from the European geographical centre, 26 km to the north from Vilnius in Gajuvka steading.
Most of the land plot – 20.78 hectares – is occupied by a forest, the remaining area of 3.16 hectares is of agricultural purpose. A long time ago there was a homestead here, you can find the foundations and a garden of fruit trees.
The location is surrounded by forests – on the northern side it borders the forest of Vyžulioniai, on the southern side – the forest of Girija. Not far from the land plot there are lakes of Girija and Zetišė.
In the neighbourhood, recreational centres of attraction can be found: modern and contemporary art museum of the Park of Europe, golf club of the Park of Europe, Bernotai mound, Struvė’s geodesic point.
Driving from Molėtai road along the street of Vrublevskių, Meškonys is passed on the way to Maskoliškės; when you make a turn from the main road, you go about 800 metres on a gravel road, 400 metres of them are already in the territory of the land plot.
There is a unique eco-system in the land plot as well as a variety of plants: pines, birches, centenary oaks and firs.
A territory management plan of Gaja Forest has been drawn up and is now being implemented. Based on the plan, the land plot is divided into separate functional zones thus seeking to highlight natural distinctive features of each individual zone: a cleaned and thinned forest so as to create more prospects – wide openings, some territories have been drained, ponds have been excavated, a lower point of the land plot contains a natural swamp, on the hills you can find a location for a homestead or buildings of recreational purpose. Thematic paths for walks have been developed: the path of oaks (Ąžuolų Takas) which is 1,270 metres long and the path of swamp (Pelkės Takas) which is 163 metres long.
In total, two territories for residential purpose may be established. The total area of the buildings would be 1,000 square metres. Electricity supply network is available at a distance of 400 metres.
