A dream home on a 4,900 m2 shoreline property inside Gottskär harbour near Kungsbacka Fjord
This unique 4,900 shoreline property with plenty of privacy and its own jetty is located in Gottskär harbour, the gem of the Swedish West Coast. Features include two residential houses with a combined area of 372 m2, a car and boat garage that together have an area of 150 m2, a patio with a fireplace, a boathouse that includes a large terrace, a concrete swimming pool, two saunas, a sandy beach, a boat-launching ramp, a petanque court, putting green, and a wonderful garden that includes a 1,500 m2 automatically watered lawn. The houses and garage are of recent construction and everything was meticulously renovated and installed in 2005-2006. The whole property is of top quality, modern and comfortable, but at the same time, retains that genuine archipelago style. This is a fantastic and discreet home, only 25 minutes from Gothenburg.
Here, at the innermost part of Gottskär Harbour is the place where commander and privateer, Lars Gatenhielm would anchor part of his fleet in the early 18th century. Here it would be well protected and enjoy sunshine from morning to evening. Back then, the 35 km journey to the city of Gothenburg took almost two hours instead of the 25 minutes it does today. This fact later became the main reason why Lassegården, the property that was named for him, eventually became a small farmstead in the early 19th century. Throughout the years, Lassegården has remained, shielded from prying eyes, as one of the very few privately-owned really large seaside properties inside an archipelago harbour.
In 2005-2006, Lassegården underwent a thorough and extensive transformation with completely new buildings, as well as a total and meticulous renovation of the entire property, in the same Halland archipelago style as it always used displayed. The larger house, which has an area of 235 m2, offers wonderful panoramic views of the Kungsbacka Fjord and its islands, coves and coasts. Starting the day with a cup of coffee in the turret room and then enjoying a plentiful breakfast in the kitchen or on the outdoor terrace is an equally unique experience that you can have every morning. The tasteful Lidhult kitchen with its fireplace and adjacent dining room that seats ten is connected to a large, inviting living room. All the rooms have unobstructed views of the sea. The spacious bedroom, half a storey up, has a small work area that faces the 200-year-old courtyard with its cobblestones. This is also where the lovely patio is located, complete with a fireplace you’ll enjoy on cool evenings. The curved stairway to the second floor with its large open family room with a reading nook, high ceilings and built-in bookshelf, is a perfect place for cosy TV evenings. Next to this is the master bedroom with a wonderful view and an airing balcony. The integrated, fully-tiled bathroom has a Jacuzzi, a separate lavatory, and a large shower area, leading out to a walk-in closet. Half a storey up, you’ll find a small bedroom, that can also be used as a gym. Finally, a little staircase leads up from the living room to the gem of this house – a little turret room, shielded from prying eyes, with a recliner and a 360° panorama, which is undeniably the best view in the house.
The basement has a large separate large laundry room for sewing and clothing care, as well as traditional clotheslines for drying. The basement level with its grey Italian stone floors throughout, and the scored beechwood floors on the upper level, as well as all the beechwood carpentry, help to make this an exceptionally comfortable, practical and charming home.
