Chesterfield House, Great Pulteney Street, is a Grade 1 listed terraced townhouse perfectly located to enjoy all the World Heritage city of Bath has to offer.

The Georgian property, which spans approximately 6,000 sq ft over six floors, is situated in Bath’s widest and grandest street completed in 1789, and just a short walk from the city centre. It has recently been the subject of an extensive refurbishment programme, overseen by English Heritage, and is immaculately presented with a mixture of classic period features and contemporary fixtures and fittings.

The walled rear landscaped garden can be accessed from the kitchen via a terrace. It is partly lawned with established plants and shrubs and a path leading to the garage.


Area Description


The benefits of living in Bath cannot be underestimated. Not only does it boast world-class sporting facilities at Bath University but this home is within walking distance of Bath Rugby’s premiership ground. Close by is a thriving cricket club and horseracing. The Theatre Royal and Ustinov regularly attract high profile plays bound for the West End. Tourists flock to the city for the literary and music festivals, art galleries and museums including the Holburne, which is situated at the end of Great Pulteney Street. These are complemented by a flourishing café and restaurant scene, including award winning coffee shops and Michelin star establishments.
Chesterfield House is convenient for some of the best schools in the city. Widcombe and Bathwick St Mary’s Primary Schools are close by as well as a choice of independent schools including Prior Park College, King Edward’s School, Monkton, The Royal High School for Girls and Kingswood.


Directions


Bath has easy access to London via the M4 (90 minutes) and train (90 minutes). It is 12 miles from Bristol and a 45 minute drive to Bristol International Airport. Drive a few miles in any direction out of the city to discover protected countryside and idyllic villages.
