Energy Potential
Fundo Esperanza has great potential of generating electric power. Its attractive eolian and hydrological resources make it an excellent alternative for the development of non conventional renewable energy projects (NCRE).
Forests
The country estate forest resources allow a wide variety of activities, such us logging and firewood extraction, generating energy from biomass though the usage of forest waste, and promoting sustainable native forest management practices by reforestation either to limit and/or reduce emissions of greenhouse-gases. Wit the aid of Fundación Chile (FCh) a memorandum of understanding (MOU) is being developed for a project that involves enhanced forest management and carbon credits.
