The coach house

The red bricked Grade II listed former coach house (1083 sq.ft) incorporates the oil fired boiler, oil storage tanks, two original stables and ancillary storage rooms. The coach house complex could be used for stabling and offers potential for other uses subject to the normal consents.



The car ports and barn

A separate gravelled drive spurs off the main driveway and leads to an 825 sq.ft oak framed barn plus three car ports which surround a wonderful cobbled stone courtyard.



The grounds

The stunning gardens surround the house, which is centrally positioned within the plot. There are lawns, extensive flower beds, four large fruit cages, a vegetable garden, a greenhouse, two duck ponds with weeping willows, a heated swimming pool, a wild flower meadow and hundreds of established trees. In easy reach of Maldon (2.6 miles), Danbury (2.8 miles), Chelmsford (8.5 miles), Sandon park and ride (5.3 miles), A12 junction 18 (5.3 miles), M25 junction 28 (20.9 miles), Stansted airport (27 miles) and Southend airport (19.6 miles). Mainline stations at Chelmsford (8.5 miles) and Fambridge (5.6 miles) with the soon to open Crossrail just 17.8 miles away at Shenfield.



There are many well respected and quality preparatory, private and grammar schools in the area to include: St Annes, Widford Lodge, St Cedds, Elm Green, Maldon Court, New Hall, Brentwood, Felsted, Anglo European, Colchester Royal Grammar School, King Edward V Grammar School, Colchester Count High School for Girls and Chelmsford County High School for Girls. In addition, there are excellent infant and junior schools in the area.



Nearby Danbury offers a selection of amenities including a Co-op supermarket, convenience store, post office, several pubs, petrol station with convenience store and primary schools. The City of Chelmsford has a comprehensive range of entertainment and shopping facilities. There are good road links via A414 to Chelmsford, A130 to south Essex and A12 to London or Ipswich.
