Located in a rural setting but actually a mature suburb, enjoy the constant movement of numerous varieties of bird life, the dogs on the leash free walking area below and a private amphitheater surrounded by trees with the lake floor.
You may catch a glimpse of Gerry the goldfish (a giant carp) who inhabits the lake or perhaps watch a darter catch his morning meal. Keep an eye out for the turtles too and you need never leave your comfortable chair on the patio to take all this in. In the summer a gentle, cooling breeze floats over the water.
The person at work in the kitchen can take in the views through the sliding back door and windows.
The wonderful salt water lap pool is set below the patio and is much enjoyed. The owners choose to have the local pool shop service the pool monthly but a new owner could easily take on that task.
The four bedroom home enjoys ample cupboard and wardrobe space and the garage is easily big enough to incorporate the workbench and tools at 5.6 metres square. It may be possible to add a flat over the garage.
Most rooms have ceiling fans and there is air-con in the living area.
The owners spend their days at the lake side of the home so regard the driveway as the back of the house. In summer the easterly facing lake and pool side is cooler and most pleasant in the afternoon and the pool is enjoyed daily.
The neighbour at number 88 is the original owner of about 25 years and both owners have never had the need for a fence between the two properties but that is an option for a new owner. The other side of the property has a fence and right of way and the owners never hear and rarely see the neighbour on that side.
The neighbourhood is fortunate to be endowed with many fine schools with a university close by and Brisbane CBD 70 minutes from the door. The numerous attractions and Theme Parks of the Gold Coast are within 10-40 minutes.
Fresh seafood is abundant and affordable with the nearby Tweed River hosting the anchorage for the local fleet of prawn boats.
Access to the property is very easy with Gold Coast International Airport 10 minutes by car from the home. Direct flights operate to all Australian major cities, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.
Reasons for sale: Family including Grandchildren now north of Brisbane and the home they have enjoyed the past 9 years is oversized for the two of them. They plan to move further north.
