Arezzo - MONTEBENICHI-We proud to offer for sale the historic castle of Captain Goro in Montebenichi which, with its thousands of years of history, stands among the Green Tuscan hills of Chianti. The town of Montebenichi, is located on the border of the province of Siena, is part of the last Eastern offshoot of the Chianti region. The castle of Goro from Montebenichi, dating from the mid-16th century, is located at the South East of the city centre and adjacent to the third level of the urban plan. It was probably the tallest building outside and the bastioned walls, the elevation facing the Valley underlines its defensive character. The castle of "Goro" is situated on the crest of the Hill and follows its gentle slope, in fact, the road uphill towards the city center it limited the three fronts. Has three floors covered in part with a flat roof, used as a terrace, and partly with sloping wooden frame and roof tiles and roof tiles. The masonry covered partly by plaster is characterized by small to medium sized stones just Cog or pappu flumes; the texture is somewhat irregular and has bricks posing horizontal workforce. The portions of buffered masonry do not follow a precise logic of composition and configure chaotic prospects. The ground floor consists of small service rooms, many of which have been modified to meet the needs of the farm that played there his business since 1922. In the middle are the link works on the main floor: a main staircase straight between walls, vaulted ceilings and vaults and a secondary staircase pit, closed at this level. The entrance leads to the left and right, in two separate parts unconnected, composed of a series of rooms arranged without a specific distribution policy. Standing out among these the only kitchen, with stove and sink, and a small bathroom proceeds through interior partitions within a room. All rooms have terracotta tiles flooring (about 15x30) and ceilings made with a wooden frame and ruined. The main floor is accessed via three openings in the Southwest, prospect terrace conformed with battlements. A well stairs, rather cramped, reaches the terrace that occupies part of the roof. Another layer beneath the roof is accessible via a staircase above the main staircase. Goro castle today is a monumental Castle which covers an area of 2500 sqm plus an adjoining Park of 20,000 square meters, a size that allows for multiple destinations, from the majestic private residence of representation to that of receptive activity, University City, timeshare, cultural center.
