As you cross the threshold of the stone entrance of this grand villa, Fleur de Mer, a small staircase leads to the house, framed by enchanting waterfalls lined with pebbles, where the water flows fresh and clear. You arrive in the first open air interior courtyard, where you find a spellbinding Japanese pond, with water lilies and reeds, a true Garden of Eden, that is surrounded by the house! Straight ahead, the roofs and turquoise blue sea seem to frame the neighboring island of Saba on the horizon. Typical of the traditional Colonial architecture, the house is made up of several bungalows, with the kitchen, dining room, reception room, TV room and Master suite, all in a row at the front of the house. All the rooms converge to the heart of the house: the terrace. A vast outside living space, bordered by the pool, that seems to stretch out into the Caribbean Sea.
Perfect for celebratory stays, the layout is perfect for a group of friends or a large family. Five rooms have been designed to accommodate up to ten guests, in the ultimate of comfort and style. Writing desks, chaises longues and antique freestanding mirrors, all bespoke pieces made in precious mahogany wood by an island cabinet maker and superb four poster beds add to the colonial architecture touch. The gourmet kitchen is ideal for creating memorable Créole meals. Equipped with a top of the range cooker, it is also perfect for a private chef. In the next room, there is a large dining room, suitable for entertaining many guests. As for the living room, it is open on three sides and has a breathtaking view over the Caribbean Sea and a stunning high ceiling. It is both spacious and well ventilated. A must?
